Rick Johnson was pictured on the cover 30 years ago to accompany
our preview of the upcoming USGP at Unadilla. We interviewed both
Johnson and Bob Hannah, who described a lap around the famous
track… Rick Johnson was also the winner of the 500cc class at
the Broome-Tioga Sports Center National MX at Binghamton; Guy
Cooper won the 125cc class… The AMA Superbike Series visited
Laguna Seca for the Nissan Superbike Challenge. Bubba Shobert
won it all… Steve Morehead won the Hagerstown Half Mile.
