ound three of the World En-
duro Super Series (WESS)
took place in France with the
Trèfle Lozérien AMV—a classic-
style enduro that had many of the
usual suspects in the hard en-
duro scene out of their comfort
zones, and played to the advan-
tage of front runners in the World
Enduro Championship. Yamaha's
Loic Larrieu topped the overall
classification at the end of three
days of competition. French-
man Theo Espinasse carded
second on his Sherco while
KTM's Josep Garcia rounded
out the overall podium. Red Bull
KTM's Jonny Walker held on to
the WESS points lead despite a
10th-place finish.
"I've been trying to win this
race for three years, so to finally
get it done is a special moment
for me," said Larrieu of his vic-
tory at the classic French race.
"With it included in WESS it
certainly added to the pressure,
competition and prestige. It's
always been important to win
here but this was probably one
of the most competitive years
yet. Also helping Yamaha to their
20th victory in this race means a
lot, too."
Trèfle Lozérien AMV has a lot
of history, and remains a favorite
among French enduro riders.
Over 600 entries lined up for
the three-day race, which takes
riders through the scenic French
countryside and tests their skill
on slippery grass tracks. It's not
