VOL. 55 ISSUE 22 JUNE 5, 2018 P25 CHISHOLM OKAY W hen the red flag came out causing a stoppage of the first 450MX moto at the Lakewood National MX in Colorado, it was because Kyle Chisholm of the 51Fifty Energy Drink Yamaha Team had crashed and was knock unconscious. On Monday, Chisholm revealed that he's doing okay and hopes to suit up for the High Point National in Pennsylvania in two weeks. "I'm doing a lot better now, just a little banged up and bruised," Chisholm said. "I was feeling really good all day—qualified well earlier in the morning and was running inside the top 10 until the crash. Unfortunately I hit a nasty kicker in the uphill rhythm section. Things got a little out of control, but I feel better now and am hoping to put this behind me and be ready for High Point in two weeks." CN SPLIT WINS IN ESTONIA ENDUROGP N o one rider dominated the fourth round of the EnduroGP Champion- ship, which was held in Estonia, June 2-3. UK's Brad Freeman (Beta) and Italy's Alex Salvini (Husqvarna) traded wins, with Freeman topping day one and Salvini day two. For the rookie, Freeman, it was his first win of his young career, which, for him, came just four races into the senior ranks. "I'm really happy," he said. "A few months ago, I was looking up to and admiring all these riders from the side of the stage, and now I'm winning and finishing in front of them! It's really something I never imag- ined happening this early in the season." Finland's Eero Remes finished second to the youngster, followed by Salvini and Brit Jamie Mc- Canney (GasGas). Salvini bounced back on day two with the win. "After the frustration of yesterday where I did not ride at my ideal level, I am obviously satisfied with this victory," Salvini said. One of Salvini's main competitors, Remes, had a bad second day when he crushed his TM's en- gine cases on a rock and was forced to retire. Sal- vini now leads the championship with 118 points, followed by Steve Holcombe (3-2 in Estonia) with 112 and Remes with 102. Day-one winner Freeman was third behind Sal- vini and Holcombe (Beta). Freeman is now fourth in the championship with 96 points. CN Kyle Chisholm, who brought out the red flag when he crashed in the first 450MX moto at Lakewood, Colorado, hopes to suit up for the next race. Brad Feeman won a day of the EnduroGP round in Estonia, proving that the young rider is here to stay.
