A
s a new racing series kicks
off, sometimes it can take a
few weeks for the racers to
"find their place" as they make final
adjustments to their equipment and
readjust themselves to the series.
That's the case this year for newly
crowned 450 Supercross champ
Jason Anderson, for example.
But then there are also the racers
who come in on fire and stay that
way, such as Monster Energy Kawa-
saki's Eli Tomac, whose demoraliz-
ing performance at Glen Helen had
to have left the field shaking their
heads. When Tomac is "on," there's
nobody faster on the planet.
In the 250MX class, Monster
Energy/Yamalube/Star Racing
Yamaha's Aaron Plessinger looked
like a completely different person at
Glen Helen compared to Hangtown
a week earlier. At Hangtown, he was
solid, but he didn't show much blaz-
ing speed. At Glen Helen, with the
aid of a good start in the first moto,
he stepped up to a new level, and
it's game-on for the 250MX title from
here on out.

to see who's who for this summer
