IN THE WIND P42 Jeff Fox will be missed by the entire motorcycle community. FERRIS ROLLS ON IN AUSTRALIA D ean Ferris (CDR Yamaha/Monster Energy Team) continues to dominate the 10-round Pirelli MX Nationals in Australia. His latest victory came at round five at Murray Bridge, May 27. However, Ferris suffered his first moto loss of the year when he placed second to Kade Mosig (DPH Motorsports Husqvarna) in the second moto. Ferris captured the overall victory with 1-2 motos. Second overall went to Kirk Gibbs (KTM) with a pair of third-place finishes, while Mosig grabbed third overall via a 9-1. Brett Metcalfe (Honda) was fifth overall (4-6). Ferris leads the championship with 354 points, followed by Gibbs with 286 and Mitch Evans with 275. Metcalfe is ninth with 215 points. CN INDUSTRY ICON JEFF FOX PASSES J eff Fox, former president of LeMans Corpora- tion of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away, May 23. Fox grew up in the family business of the Parts Unlimited distributing company, which grew through the years under the LeMans Corporation umbrella to include Drag Specialties, Thor MX, Moose Racing, Icon and other leading motorcycle and powersports brands. After retiring from LeMans Corp in 2007, he created a business of self-storage facilities known as Fox Den Store-It with locations operating in Edgerton and Janesville, Wisconsin; Fort Knox Tennessee; Rapid City, Iowa; Summerset, South Dakota and more in development. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors and often took his family on hunting and fishing trips to Canada, as well as the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally. He was also an avid lover of Wisconsin sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers. Jeff passed away at Miller Park while enjoying a Brewers baseball game with family and associates. He is survived by his wife, Charise, son Justin, and daughter Jamie. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, starting at 2:00 p.m. at Schneider's Funeral Home at 1800 E. Racine St., Janesville WI 53545. CN
