Tomac then had his forward progress more
or less stunted for half of the race when he
caught up to Musquin, who was running
second at the time.
But once Tomac found his way by Musquin
(cleanly!), it didn't take long for him to close
the gap on Anderson. After Tomac passed
Anderson for the lead on the second-to-last
holeshot there and I was like, 'Damn

going so high speed, you're battling
guys, someone checks up, it can
get really dangerous. But [after the
modifications to the jumps] I thought
they did a great job and the track was
perfect for racing. It was maybe a little
one-lined but we got passed by Eli
so I guess it wasn't too bad." "Typical
Glen Helen, it got rough, edgy, hard
and soft," said Musquin. "It wasn't too
sketchy," said Plessinger. "I think it
turned out really good."
CRUNCH TIME
Jason Anderson admitted that he had
little time to prepare for the outdoor
nationals. "For the outdoors, the worst
part for preparation was that I was so
focused on the supercross deal and
didn't ride much outdoors, but neither
