IN THE WIND P40 YAMAHA TENERE 700 WORLD RAID RIPS THROUGH AUSTRALIA T he bike everyone has been screaming at the Tuning Fork brand to make—the Ya- maha Tenere 700 World Raid—is doing the international PR rounds with some star riders on board. Yamaha has undertaken a four-stage tour: first Australia with official Yamaha Dakar racer, Rodney Faggotter; Morocco with Mr. Dakar himself, Stephane Peterhansel; South America with Adrien van Beveren, and finally, a large chunk of Europe with riders Nick Sanders, Alessandro Botturi, David Fretigne, Herbert Schwartz, Cristòbal Guerrero. Based off the Yamaha MT-07 street bike that has become an instant classic for Yamaha in the five years it's been available, we'd put money on the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid coming next year as a production bike as the international response has been nothing short of staggering. Today we have the first video for you, courtesy of Yamaha Australia. Rider Rodney Faggotter is something of a local legend Down Under, having won everything there is to win off-road and mak- ing his official debut as a Dakar Yamaha factory racer during the 2018 event. The bike in the video is still a prototype, and there is still no word on if this will be a 2019 or even a 2020 model. And sadly, no, the U.S. will not be part of the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid PR event. CN LEWIS HAMILTON GETS ANOTHER MV T he Lewis Hamilton/MV Agusta collaboration has borne its third machine with the release of the MV Agusta Brutale 800RR LH44. There will be just 144 of these bikes built—mean- ing 143 will be available to the public after Lewis gets his complementary machine—and comes with a few goodies not found on your typical 800RR. The LH44 gets a black, red and white paint job designed by Hamilton himself, as well as fancy fork tubes, brake and clutch levers, CNC-machined oil and gas caps, and a different alternator guard. The LH44's specs are otherwise identical to a base model Brutale 800RR. CN Fancy, huh? The new Brutale 800RR LH44 will make a pretty loud statement anywhere it goes.
