MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS ROUND 1 / MAY 19, 2018 RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIFORNIA / PRAIRIE CITY SVRA PARK P76 Plessinger. Osborne carries a six-point lead into round two at Glen Helen. "Oh man, I was so nervous this morning the first practice," Osborne said. "I was just all over the place. I was able to kind of smooth out there for the motos and just really find my groove and use my motorcycle to my advantage. I felt really good out there. My Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing bike was perfection today. It's a package we're very familiar with, something we started with last year, same sort of thing. So I'm happy to come out here with a win." CN shot in moto two over Plessinger, Alex Martin, Osborne and Chase Sexton. Jeremy Martin held the lead for the first few laps before Osborne found his way by. Pless- inger lost a few positions in the early going but passed his way back up to fourth at the finish. Osborne took the win over Jeremy and Alex Martin, with Plessinger coming home fourth and Sexton fifth, just in front of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki rookie Garrett March- banks, while Forkner scored a DNF with rib pain (see Briefly...). Osborne took the overall win with a 1-1 score over the 2-2 of Jeremy Martin and the 3-4 of Plessinger spent the first nine laps of the moto behind For- kner's teammate Joey Savatgy, but once he found his way by, he quickly swallowed up his team- mate Cooper for fourth and then went to work on Forkner. Forkner held Plessinger off for the rest of the moto only to stall his KX250F in a corner with a half-lap remain- ing in the race. Osborne took the moto win by about five seconds over Martin, with Plessinger coming in third in front of Forkner, Cooper, Savatgy followed by TLD/Red Bull KTM's Alex Martin, Jordon Smith and Shane McElrath. Jeremy Martin got the hole- Zach Osborne was clearly the fastest rider on this day in the 250MX class.
