3. Marcos Ramirez (KTM)
4. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Hon)
5. Jakub Kornfeil (KTM)
Bezzecchi was in front, but Di
Giannantonio cut inside both his
rivals through the last left. Bezzec-
chi made a desperate swerve to
get back inside for the next, only
to highside, big time. Martin was
unable to avoid hitting his bike.
As Di Giannantonio celebrated,
Arenas crossed the line, narrowly
ahead of Migno, with Antonelli
close behind, followed by Ramirez
and Kornfeil.
Then came the penalties: 1.3
seconds for Kornfeil, 1.8 for An-
tonelli, and 3.0 for Di Giannantonio.
Thus the KTM podium, Ramirez
promoted to third, Di Giannantonio
demoted to fourth, then Antonelli;
with Kornfeil hanging on to sixth
ahead of Tony Arbolino (Marinelli
Honda).
In spite of falling, Bezecchi re-
tained the points lead at 63, four
ahead of Di Giannantonio with 59,
an inadvertent chicane short cut
dropped him back in the lead
group of ten.
Now it was Di Giannantonio
and Leopard Honda's Enea Bas-
tianini posing the biggest threat;
with Nico Antonelli (SIC58
Honda) and second Angel Nieto
KTM rider Andrea Migno also
prominent in the pursuit.
Kornfeil (later to suffer a pen-
alty for his short cut) had caught
up at the end of the penultimate
lap, when Bastianini lost it in the
final corner set. Kornfeil couldn't
avoid hitting the fallen Honda,
executed a spectacular jump
and was lucky to land wheels-
down in the gravel trap. Amaz-
ingly, he regained control to
rejoin the chase.
The final drama was played
out in the same double-right
corner set.
Arenas (75) inherited
the win after Fabio
Di Giannantonio was
demoted to fourth.
