FERRANDIS SIGNS CONTRACT
EXTENSION
E
vidently, the Monster Energy/Ya-
malube/Star Racing Yamaha Team
likes what it has seen of Dylan Ferran-
dis and has extended its contract with
the Frenchman for another two years.
Ferrandis confirmed the signing on
Instagram. His current contract runs
out at the end of this season.
Last year, Ferrandis finished fifth in
the 250SX East Championship and
sixth in the 250MX Championship
outdoors. He was off to a strong start
this year before he got hurt, sustaining
a broken arm and a jaw injury at the
Atlanta Supercross. CN
NEW DUNLOP SPORTMAX Q4 ARRIVES
D
unlop introduced its new Sportmax Q4 sport bike tire. This tire is now the third in line in terms of
outright performance from Dunlop behind their race N-Tec slick and GP-A DOT treaded race tire,
and is aimed more at track day and street performance than outright lap times.
Dunlop stresses this tire
does not need any tire warm-
ers and offers excellent grip
from the off, with very short
warm-up time one of the main
design priorities. This is also
the first tire to use the exper-
tise of former MotoAmerica
factory superbike gun and
now full-time Dunlop lead
development rider, Taylor
Knapp.
We will have a full review
and video of the Q4 for you
soon in Cycle News. CN
The new Dunlop
Sportmax Q4
offer exceptional
grip for what is
predominately a
street tire.
Dylan Ferrandis will call
the Monster Energy/
Yamalube/Star Racing
Yamaha Team home
through 2020.
