says he crashed off the obstacle
and didn't miss it, comment-
ing via social media that he was
"disappointed with race direc-
tor's decision." But the Red Bull
KTM rider made the best of the
situation and proved he hasn't
lost a step, despite having the
start from the back of the field in
Sunday's final. Blazusiak made
his way through the field after
starting at the tail end of the pro
category, and was in the lead on
adjusted time before a number
of mistakes saw him slip back
several spots.
Bolt remained steadfast on his
way to the finish, wrapping up a
successful weekend. The young
Brit also topped the Friday night
Endurocross race, besting
Walker and the American duo of
Colton Haaker and Cody Webb.
Walker answered back with a
win during Saturday's Urban Pro-
logue, the famous race through
the narrow cobbled streets of
Porto, but Walker had to settle
for the runner-up position in
Sunday's main race.
Red Bull KTM's Cody Webb
had a conservative, but satis-
factory start to his season with
a sixth-place finish. "I rode too
timid the first lap because I
was afraid of a couple slippery
rocks," Webb said of Sunday's
final race. "But I'm really happy
with my riding in the second lap
and I know what I have to work
on for round two at Erzberg."
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's
Colton Haaker was out to a
strong start in Portugal only to
suffer a hard crash on Sunday.
Haaker went off a slippery boul-
der and over the bars headfirst
into a creek bed, which ended
his day. Fortunately Haaker
walked away from the crash. CN
