FLAT TRACK 2018 AMERICAN FLAT TRACK SERIES ROUND 4 / MAY 5, 2018 CALISTOGA SPEEDWAY / CALISTOGA, CALIFORNIA P88 RACE FOR SECOND Only four races into the season Jared Mees now has a 17-point lead in the AFT Twins Championship. However the battle over second is tight. Henry Wiles holds a one-point advantage over Briar Bauman. Kenny Coolbeth and Jeffrey Carver are tied just four points behind Bauman. Over on the AFT Singles side, Brandon Price holds a narrow four-point lead over Dan Bromley. Twelve off the lead is Ryan Wells with Morgen Mischler two more back. The top four all have wins, while fifth-place Shayna Texter is 16 off the lead after posting two consecutive second-place finishes. NEW RIDE Davis Fisher is the latest rider to make the move to an Indian Scout FTR750. "I dashed home [Oregon] Saturday night after the races in Texas last weekend," said Fisher. "I got home Monday morning, I got two hours of sleep and went and picked it up. I brought it back home then met up with the UPS guy and got some parts from S&S. I started putting them on that night. We really didn't finish it up until the night we were going to leave [for California]. We got every- thing put together around 10 o'clock Friday night. We made our way down to Calistoga at five in the morning. I never would have thought that it would go that great. We went out in the first practice and we were the fastest. I got on the thing and I felt right at home. It's pretty incredible how you can buy a bike off the showroom floor and go racing and compete with just some minor details. The biggest thing I did was put Race Tech suspension on it and S&S clutch upgrade. We prob- ably should have adjusted the clutch a little bit before we went out. I didn't get a good start in the main. I couldn't get Briefly... Jeffrey Carver (23) leads the way off the start.
