T
he challenging Texas Motor Speedway produced many spectacu-
lar crashes, a first-time winner in the AFT Pro Singles class, and a
first-time podium finish in the AFT Pro Twins class. Nevertheless,
when the night ended, the rider that had taken the checkered flag first
in the first two rounds once again topped the 25-lap main event.
Defending Grand National Champion, Jared Mees (Indian Motorcy-
cle/Rogers Racing, Indian Scout FTR750) took the lead on lap five and
was never seriously challenged the rest of the way.
Even though Mees had been disqualified and stripped of his win at
the previous round in Atlanta for using a chemically altered tire, the on-
track results were the same.
