CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 55 ISSUE 17 MAY 1, 2018 P59 BY STEVE COX PHOTOGRAPHY BY KIT PALMER J ason Anderson has had a fantastic season up until this weekend's Salt Lake City Super- cross at Rice-Eccles Stadium, the penultimate round of the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. In the 15 previous races, Anderson had four wins, four seconds, three thirds, three fourths, and one seventh-place finish (Daytona). His two clos- est championship rivals—Marvin Musquin and Eli Tomac—have both had DNS/DNFs and struggled with injuries, while Anderson has avoided these sorts of calamities while still racing hard for wins and podiums.
