AEGERTER, GARDNER OUT OF JEREZ
AFTER SUFFERING TRAINING INJURIES
M
oto2 rider Dominique Aegerter will
not take part in this weekend's Span-
ish Moto2 race after cracking his pelvis in
an enduro crash.
The Swiss rider is reported to have
fallen during a training run and although
he didn't suffer a complete fracture, he will
still be unfit to take the grid. The team may
yet pull out of the race entirely if a replace-
ment rider cannot be found. Aegerter was
sitting 10th in the Moto2 standings with a
best finish of eighth in Argentina.
Meanwhile, Australian Remy Gardner
will also miss the Jerez race after report-
edly suffering a leg fracture to both legs
and an ankle fracture in a motocross training ac-
cident in Spain.
Gardner was transferred to the Dexeus Clinica
facility under the care of renowned MotoGP doctor
Xavier Mir and is expected to be out for a number
of weeks with no official word on when he will
return. His place in the Tech3 team will be taken by
current CEV Moto2 Tech3 rider Hector Garzo. CN

FLORIDA RECLASSIFIES THREE-WHEEL
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
F
lorida has become the latest state to reclassify
three-wheel machines like the Polaris Slingshot
and Vanderhall Laguna as an "Autocycle."
Owners are thus not required to have a motor-
cycle license to operate such a machine, although
owners must still comply with that state's motor-
cycle helmet laws.
"Since introducing the one-of-a-kind Slingshot
in 2014, we have partnered with state officials to
properly classify the operating requirements to a
standard driver's license," said Josh Fulkerson,
Slingshot Sr. Director. "Our efforts have led to
incredible results with 44 states reclassifying
three-wheeled vehicles. We continue to work
diligently educating policymakers in the remaining
states." CN
You no longer need a motorcycle license to
operate a Polaris Slingshot in 44 U.S. states.
