IN THE WIND P40 125cc ALL STAR MX SERIES IS BORN T he 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will now include a new 125cc All Star Series, which will take place during seven of the 12 rounds. What started out as a one-off halftime event has morphed into a seven-race series, begin- ning with the opening round of the outdoor nationals at Hangtown, May 19. The 125 All Star Series will consist of six qualifying rounds and a finale at the sea- son-ending Ironman National, August 25. Each All Star event will feature a one-moto format, and will be contested during open- ing ceremonies at the designated nationals. The 125 All Star Series is open to cur- rent production-based 125cc two-stroke machines, as well as non-current produc- tion models from the final three years of production for manufacturers who no longer produce 125cc models. To be eligible to compete riders must be a minimum 16 years 2018 125 All Star Series Schedule Round 1: May 19 Hangtown Motocross Classic, Sacramento, CA Round 2: June 2 Thunder Valley National, Lakewood, CO Round 3: June 16 High Point National, Mt. Morris, PA Round 4: June 30 Southwick National, Southwick, MA Round 5: July 28 Washougal National, Washougal, WA Round 6: August 18 Budds Creek National, Mechanicsville, MD Round 7: August 25 Ironman National, Crawfordsville, IN of age, with an AMA skill classification of "B" or higher. Current and former AMA Pro Motocross-licensed riders are eligible to compete, so long as they are not partici- pating in the professional classes at that event. Entry form is available via the appropriate event pro- moter. CN Seven rounds of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will host the new 125cc All Star Series. OSBORNE, HUSQVARNA RE-UP Z ach Osborne will be a member of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna family for a while after extending his contract with the team through 2020. The announcement was made last week. "I'm very excited for the opportunity to continue this relationship with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team," Osborne said. "We've had good successes so far and I hope to continue that through 2020, in the 450 class, and beyond. It's a great feeling to have the best equipment and team around you in a long term commit- ment, and I am lucky to have that!"CN Zach Osborne will most likely finish out his professional MX/SX career with Husqvarna.
