ain, hail and even a little
snow the day before the
race guaranteed prime riding
conditions at the Little Sahara
Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area
for round four of the Kenda/SRT
AMA Hare & Hound National
Championship Series, Presented
by FMF, April 21.
So, freed from the norm of
dust-impaired vision, close, race-
long battles took place through-
out the pack at the Sage Riders
National Hare & Hound hosted
by the Sage Riders Motorcycle
Club, ultimately ending with FMF
KTM Factory Off-road Racing
Team's Taylor Robert edging
series points leader and 2010
series champ Kendall Norman
for the win. Both now have two
victories each this year, but Pro
Circuit Honda's Norman leads
in points, having podiumed at all
four rounds to date with Robert
missing two races due to break-
ing both arms after round two.
Norman has 106 while Robert
is now fourth at 60, those two
separated by Purvines Racing
Yamaha's Nick Burson (the day's
third-place finisher) with 82 and
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
Factory Racing Off-road Team's
Dalton Shirey (fourth for the day
after being passed by Burson
Moves like this helped
Taylor Robert make a
triumphant return to the
series after being out
for two months with two
broken arms.
