TWINS
Another new class for MotoAmeri-
ca 2018 came in the form of Twins
competition, which takes bikes
like Suzuki's SV650 and Yamaha's
MT-07, popular in club racing, and
puts them on the national stage.
This first round saw another un-
dersubscribed grid with eight rac-
ers qualifying and only six finishing
the only race.
Chris Parris (Ghetto Customs
Suzuki) and Jason Madama (Ya-
maha) put on a show for the fans,
with the former taking the win over
the latter by just 0.057 seconds.

STOCK 1000
Just one race for the new Stock 1000 class that replaces the de-
funct Superstock 1000 category in Atlanta saw a familiar face back
on the podium as Travis Wyman, brother to MotoAmerica Super-
bike privateer Kyle Wyman, took his Weir Everywhere Racing BMW
to pole and the victory in which just eight racers took to the grid.
Wyman's 5.6-second win in the 11-lap race came over young-
ster Andrew Lee (Andrew Lee Racing Kawasaki ZX-10R), with
Timothy Bemisderfer (Big'Un Motorsports Suzuki) third.
"It's been a couple of years since I've ridden in the rain, so on
the sighting lap, I definitely took my time to pay attention and look
for the puddles and follow some guys," Wyman said. "I was just
trying to stay focused. I had a few moments there, too. I'm sure
we all did. Track conditions weren't the best, but I just put my
head down, stayed focused, and I'm really, really happy to come
home with the win."
Fourth went to Barrett Long (Longevity Racing Yamaha) with
fifth going to Stephen Incledon (Superbike Unlimited Racing
Yamaha).
Travis Wyman
eked out a win
over Andrew
Lee and Timothy
Bemisderfer.
