SUPERCROSS ROUND 14 / APRIL 14, 2018 US BANK STADIUM / MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA P72 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS iii My Own Race: one was actually really good considering my start. I was able to work my way through the pack and get into second place, and I went around Eli [Tomac], and he was behind me, and I was able to fight really hard and have really good speed, so I'm happy to come around after that terrible first main. Yeah, it's a third place—it's another podium—but today we could've fought for the win, for sure, with a better main event. But no excuses, I did my best. I struggled in the first one, but I got better after." 48 CHRISTIAN CRAIG 9TH 450SX (14-10-7) Christian Craig (Honda HRC) said that he wasn't feeling well all day and it showed in the three final events. "Tonight was tough, honestly," he said. "All day I struggled with my breath- ing and I'm not sure why because this hasn't happened to me before. I was able to put a fast time down for practice, qualifying fourth. In the main events, I struggled and kept having to remind myself to breath, which was spiking my heart rate. I almost felt like my body was shut- ting down. The first race was the worst after my crash. I got better with it through the night, luckily, but still nowhere near happy. I was able to push through my own battles and finish ninth overall. It's been a hard couple weekends but I'll get through it. I'm going to focus on a lot of things this week and come back fresh next weekend in Foxboro." 51 JUSTIN BARCIA 5TH 450SX (3-7-4) Justin Barcia seemed to have picked up where he left off after a lengthy layoff due to injury. "It was my first race back from my injury and I feel like I made good progress all day," he said. "I was a little stiff in the morning, the intensity was pretty high off the bat like it always is but that's why I felt like I needed to come back because it's hard to get that type of intensity at home. The track changed a lot during practice and I struggled a little, but I kept my head screwed on straight and we made a few changes to the bike, but it was awesome all day. The second main was the toughest for me, I got pretty tight from using the muscles that I haven't used in a while so I ended up getting a little arm pump, but we were able to come back in the last main and finish strong with fourth. It was a mentally tough day, it was super challenging and my body was tired, for sure, but we ended up finishing out on a positive note." ner Forkner had an awful race in the second main, crashing four times on his way to 10th place. In the final main, privateer Josh Osby took the holeshot and led the first lap, but Martin came through the top few rac- ers to snatch the lead and run away with it. Forkner had his fifth fall of the night, but this time it was big. He went over the bars in a set of whoops and got up favoring his left arm; early reports indicate a broken col- larbone. He dropped out for the night, and likely for the series. Martin took the win over Os-
