S
teward Baylor took on what Mother
Nature (plus the best of the best in
the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series)
could throw at him and came away with
an impressive win at the Red Fox National
Enduro in Lynnville, Indiana, April 14-15,
round three of the Kenda AMA National
Enduro Series, after a hard, overnight rain
left the Lynnville area soaked and muddy.
The conditions were challenging at best,
and riders on rows 50 and back were
greeted with footpeg-deep ruts courtesy
of the foul weather.
Riding from row 31 (the first Pro rider
out)—thanks to his win at the opener in
South Carolina—Baylor won tests one and
two by a considerable margin, leaving the
Tely Energy KTM rider with nearly a minute
advantage heading into test three. The
remainder of the race wasn't exactly pretty,
but Baylor managed his lead effectively
despite several crashes, to claim victory
number two of the season by a 28-second
margin over FMF KTM's Josh Toth.
Baylor had no good explanation for his
turn of bad luck after such a good start,
but he was more than happy with the end
result.
