Minneapolis with a 1-4-3. And if
Anderson wasn't docked a posi-
tion in the second of the three
main events in Minneapolis,
he would've tied Tomac in the
Olympic-style points system and
won the overall on the tiebreaker
of winning the final race, which
means that without the penalty
title in 2018. The champion-
ship within a championship, the
Monster Energy Triple Crown of
Supercross went to Tomac after
a 1-3-1 showing in the three Triple
Crown events this year.
Interestingly, the format seems
to indicate it can shake things
up—as it was intended—because
Tomac won the first Triple Crown
at Anaheim II with a 5-1-2 show-

t's not the championship he
was aiming for when the 2018
Monster Energy AMA Super-
cross Series kicked off at Angel
Stadium of Anaheim in early
January, but Monster Energy Ka-
wasaki's Eli Tomac still managed
to grab himself a supercross
Eli Tomac (3) came away with
the evening's 450SX-class win
as well as the Triple Crown
championship. Justin Brayton (10)
was fourth on the night.
