on track, but I was able to find
lines where others couldn't and
put in a consistent ride for the
overall runner-up result."
For outgoing champion Colton
Haaker, the final round of the
championship in Sweden was
another difficult outing. Starting
things off positively with a third-
place result in heat one, Haaker
finished fourth in heat two. In
contention for a possible podium
on the night for the third round in
a row, while also collecting the
Akrapovic SuperPole series award.
"It feels great to end the Su-
perEnduro series on the sec-
ond step of the podium here in
Sweden," said Walker. "Winning
the Akrapovic SuperPole for the
third time is an added bonus. I
felt tonight I wasn't riding my best
but I was able to make the best of
a tough night. I wasn't the fastest
little and the end result has paid
off with the top step of the po-
dium here in Sweden. Regarding
the final championship standings
it was a shame for Taddy to have
a mechanical like that and it defi-
nitely swayed the end result in my
favor, but I guess that's the luck
of racing sometimes."
With a 5-4-3 scorecard, Jonny
Walker (Red Bull KTM Factory
Racing) finished as runner-up
Blazusiak won the first
race and was fighting for
another win in the second
race when a mechanical
problem ended his
championship hopes.
