ping the Husqvarna two-stroke
over every available jump as he
won the race at a canter from
Fasthouse Racing's Darryn Dur-
ham and 2017 Two-Stroke Cham-
pion, Ryan Surratt (Honda).
However, Bell would not have
it so easy in the second moto.
Durham took the holeshot on the
all-black Yamaha YZ250 and put
in a series of flying laps to put a
small gap on the field until Bell
finally started to reel him in with
veteran Mike Brown (Husqvarna)
holding third for much of the
encounter.
The race was only decided a
few turns from the finish, as Bell
pushed Durham wide on the
final lap and edged his way past
to grab the victory and the 2018
Two-Stroke World Championship
title.
Durham came home a de-
jected second less than a
half-second back, while Brown
slipped to seventh by the fin-
ish after eventual third placed
rider Talon LaFountaine (KTM),
Sean Lipanovich (Honda), Justin
Jones (Honda) and Surratt all got
around him from the sixth lap on.
Brown DNF'd the first moto with
a flat tire.
In the 125cc Pro category,
Robbie Wageman (KTM) went
1-1 for the overall victory from
Carson Carr (KTM) and Sean
Borkenhagen (Kawasaki) in
third. CN
