HONDA AND
HYDROGEN
H
onda has filed a patent application for a hydrogen-
powered motorcycle.
Drawings filed with the application depict a sport bike
with shaft drive. A hydrogen fuel cell is housed under the
seat. Fuel cell vehicles combine hydrogen and oxygen
over a catalyst to create electrical energy that powers the
motor. The only byproduct is water.
Honda's Clarity automobile has been on the market
since 2008, but availability has been restricted to areas
where hydrogen fueling stations are in place. CN
VALE ANNETTE CARRION
T
he Southern Californian motorcycle community
was rocked on Easter weekend with the sudden
death of Annette Carrion who passed away after an
accident on Ortega Highway on Saturday, March 31.
Carrion gained notoriety through her social
media channels, advocating women's motorcy-
cling and even writing a column for esteemed
publication, Motorcyclist. She was also noted as
being a founding member of the "Redline Ravens"
motorcycle group along with Keerati Julsophon
and Mizziel Serra.
A statement from the Redline Ravens on their
Instagram page read, "We just lost one of our
own. The pain is so unreal. Things won't be the
same without you. We've been through so much
and faced the odds together, striving to set good
examples and earn genuine respect from the
motorcycle community and others. The three of
us stood strong together and kept each other up,
but for now... with time, we'll learn how to con-
tinue standing strong on two legs and grow even
stronger in your honor. If only you could see just
how big and positive of an impact you've already
made... we'll be sure to make you proud, beauti-
ful. We love you so very much
always and forever, @annette-
carrion. May you ride and rest
in paradise. #lovemoreride-
