BRYCE PRINCE JOINS KWR IN
MOTOAMERICA SUPERSPORT
40 YEARS OF YOSHIMURA AND SUZUKI
T
he 2018 MotoAmerica Super-
bike Championship represents
the 40th anniversary of Suzuki and
Japanese tuning house Yoshimura.
The duo are expecting a big cel-
ebration at the upcoming Red Bull
Grand Prix of the Americas, but
for now have released this great
video detailing the history of the
relationship and the aims of 2017
MotoAmerica Superbike Champion
Yoni Elias and Yoshimura Suzuki
teammate, Roger Hayden. CN
F
ormer MotoAmerica Super-
stock 600 Champion Bryce
Prince will return to 600cc com-
petition in 2018, after signing an
11th-hour deal to compete on a
KWR-backed Yamaha YZF-R6 in
the Supersport category.
With sponsorship also from
Lucas Oil, the addition of Prince
to the KWR stable means
Wyman will have a representa-
tion in a second class for his
fledging privateer team, which
was originally only scheduled to
run one Yamaha YZF-R1 Super-
bike for Wyman himself.
"This is a unique deal for KWR
after putting together my one-
bike Superbike effort in 2017,
and originally having plans to stay
that way for 2018," Wyman said.
"Bryce is a really good guy who
works hard, and I feel has earned
this opportunity to showcase his
talent. We share the same ap-
proach to this great sport and I re-
spect that more than anything. I'm
glad that we can give him a home
at KWR, because I know he can
fight for the championship in the
MotoAmerica Supersport class."
For Prince, the chance to com-
pete for KWR is a career lifeline
after the Californian recently lost
his ride with the Hudson Motor-
cycles team in Supersport.
"I am very thankful to have
Kyle (KWR) and Gary (Speed
Demon Motorcycles) on
board to help me get back on
a bike for the 2018 season,"
said Prince, who will return to
600 competition after a 2017
Superstock 1000 campaign.
"With extremely limited time
to prepare, both of them have
gone out of their way to make it
happen. The amount of support
I have received from them and
everyone else in the industry
has been huge. I have put all of
my resources, time and heart
into making this happen and I
am very excited to be able to be
back on a 600 this season." CN
Prince will jump
ship to KWR for this
year's MotoAmterica
Supersport
Championship.
