Desert Gate-Drop
The fifth and final day of the Abu Dhabi
Desert Challenge sent riders off in a
moto-style start (rather than the usual
staggered start determined by the rider's
position in standings). Riders stormed
into the dunes of Liwa Desert in the
United Arab Emirates, fighting to take the
early lead, and with it, the burdensome
task of navigating the stage.
