the new season is serving up
tremendous and unpredictable
action at the very top end, which
had been sadly lacking in many
previous seasons.
For example, Leon Camier
(Red Bull Honda World Super-
bike Team) was third in Super-
pole, still using his bike's "old"
Cosworth electronics. He then
went on to look like a podium
man for most of race one, only
passed by his best mate Davies
in the final two laps—an amaz-
ing transformation of the Red
Bull Honda team's fortunes after
a horrible 2017, but still using
largely the same parts and ma-
chine spec.
Race two was more problem-
atic for Camier, who would finish
sixth. And 10 seconds down, not
just under three, as he had been
in a great race one.
Privateer Fores and his Ducati
were on top form again, as they
had been in the first round in
Australia. Another podium this
time, a career best of second for
