SUPERCROSS ROUND 12 / MARCH 24, 2018 LUCAS OIL STADIUM / INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA P62 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS iii My Own Race: 6 JEREMY MARTIN 1ST 250SX EAST/WEST "I got the holeshot and rode good for a little bit. Then I saw the boys behind me!" said Jeremy Martin of his winning ride. "The track was pretty tricky. I'm not going to lie. I had a couple sketchy moments out there. I saw Luke [Renzland] was in second. I kind of looked around. I kind of just was trying to maintain it. I had a couple close calls out there. But we were able to lead from start to finish and have a good race." 92 ADAM CIANCIARULO 2ND 250SX EAST/WEST Adam Cianciarulo had a strong night in Indianapolis, winning his heat race and coming from behind to finish second in the main event after a forceful last-lap pass on Luke Renzland. "I think that last pass, it was to the point where I was behind him for a while," Cianciarulo said. "He was riding great. Felt like I had a couple spots where I was maybe gaining on him a little bit. That was kind of my spot all night. I was really charging after the finish line. At that point in the race, you have to decide if you're going to stay back there and that's the place you're going to get, or you've got to go to the front. It's not always going to be nice. I didn't really mean to collide with him that much. He came over pretty hard, he was trying for that inside, and I was still kind of up in the air. So, that's racing. Unfortunately had to make that happen." 38 LUKE RENZLAND 3RD 250SX EAST/WEST Luke Renzland has been on the cusp of a breakthrough ride for a couple years, and he had it in the most stacked field of 2018, scoring his first-ever podium finish. "This is crazy, this being an East/West Shoot- out, this is the last place I was expecting to get my first podium," said Renzland. "The last week we've been practicing starts; in the main I was able to execute what we've been working on, getting out front was crucial on that track. It was great to get out in front and ride my own lines and trail Jeremy as much as I could. I felt pretty calm out there. It felt like [I was] riding laps back home, I felt really comfortable, more comfortable than I thought I would being in that position. I've always enjoyed it when the tracks break down; it's something I'm comfortable with. I felt like I was in my element. The last two laps were the hardest for me—I couldn't stop the shakes, just knowing the podium was within grasp."
