didn't allow for any no lhawl. E1~ Itaned out fairly easy and gut AA riden entered along with mOlt of the top A riden in the country. The recent devastating rains in California just prior to the event may have been a disaster to mOlt of California but it was joyful relief to the desen riden. The saturated ground meant supreme traction and more imponandy. no dust.

Many of the Eastern riden who have never been to the desen were a bit
The three-loop, ISO-mile run, progressively tougher. The ftnt loop
was euily zeroed by the good riden but wasltill considered challenging by the "C" riden who only rode the first loop. The second loop was considerably more challenging with the speeds kicked up a bit. It was designed to wear down the riden and take away points only if a rider made a mistake. The loop did take away a point from mOlt except for Hannon. He was the
