WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 55 ISSUE 11 MARCH 20, 2018 P73 he was running fourth, pressuring Jeremy Martin for third when he went down. He got up and began charg- ing again, only to go down again, much harder. He was forced out of the event, and now Pro Circuit is likely going to have him sit out at least one round in Indianapolis to heal up, as the championship is now out of his reach. In the end, this means it's likely that Davalos will end up in the 250cc class for one more season, if he so choos- es. The current rule for pointing out of the class says that any racer who amasses four seasons of scoring (un- der current circumstances) over 135 points in a nine-race series must move up to the 450cc class permanently. Davalos has three such seasons, but with 53 points to his credit right now, and his slated participation in a maxi- mum of three more races this year (out of the four yet to be run in the 250cc East), even if he wins all three, he will end up with 131 points; four shy of the limit. If he ends up in the 250cc class again in 2019, it will be his 14th season in the class. GETTING GOING Rookie Michael Mosiman (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) scored his first top-10 of his career in St. Louis. "St. Louis was good," Mosiman said. "I had a good day in practice. My starts Briefly... a costly error, getting kicked off the top of a Dragon's Back and going down awkwardly. Osborne took over the lead in front of Jeremy Martin (Geico Honda) and Jordon Smith (TLD/Red Bull KTM), and led the rest of the race. "I got a really good start finally and that's what I've been need- ing all year," Osborne said. "It's just been a matter of me going out there and executing my start. Tonight I did that in the main event, finally. I just tried to sit in there and be a little patient, find some places that I felt like I could really hammer. I'm just super happy to take this win here in St. Louis. It feels amazing. I'm su- per happy to get a win and kind of get the ball rolling again. Last weekend in Daytona I had a bit of a rough round, I was fourth. So
