CAPTURED
Vale Ralf Waldmann
Grand Prix racing lost one of its brightest
characters over the weekend with the
sudden death of Ralf Waldmann. The
German was one of the main protagonists in
a golden age for 250cc racing in the 1990s,
narrowly missing the title twice in 1996 and
1997. Here, he leads chief rival Max Biaggi,
Olivier Jacque and Tetsuya Harada in 1997.
