were found in barns in Ohio and restored by the Borer brothers John and his late brother Jeff. Most of these bikes were used in reenactments for the documen- tary on John Penton that came out in 2014 called PENTON: The John Penton Story narrated by Grammy winner, Lyle Lovett. Along with Penton himself, who, at 92 years young still has the energy to sign hundreds of autographs, was his family includ- ing his famed trio of legendary and AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame gold medal winning sons, Tom, Jeff and Jack. In addition to the "Penton Clan," the room was filled with Penton employees, factory riders and ISDT veterans like Frank Gallo, Gary Younkins, Eric Jen- sen, Mark Hyde, Kevin Lavoie, Paul Danik and more who took pictures, signed memorabilia and swapped stories on stage during bench racing sessions moder- ated by Larry Maiers. AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Carl Cranke traveled from Wash- ington state to be part of the celebration. "I have never been at an event before where so many people I used to race with were in the same place. It's been unbelievable," Cranke said.
