IN THE WIND P36 KAWASAKI RELEASES 2018 ROAD RACING CONTINGENCY PLAN K awasaki will put over $2 million worth of road racing contingency payments up for grabs in 2018 for riders competing on everything from a Ninja 400 right through to a Ninja ZX-10RR superbike. The lion's share of the payments will of course go to the MotoAmerica championship, with $1,072,050 pledged across the Superbike, Stock 1000, Supersport and Junior Cup categories. Next on the money train is the Championship Cup Series (CCS) with a healthy $386,300, WERA Sportsman Series with $228,150 pledged, and another $109,200 up for grabs in the Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association. Amateur hillclimbers will compete for the AMA number-one plate in Massachusetts. 2018 AMA HILLCLIMB GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNS TO QUABOAG RIDERS M.C. T he 2018 AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship, which pits top amateur hillclimbers against each other, will be hosted by the Quaboag Riders Motorcycle Club in Monson, Massachusetts, July 27-29. The AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship is the premier amateur hillclimb event in the United States and will determine the AMA National number one plate. Known as the "Monson Monster," the facility is owned by the Quaboag Riders Motorcycle Club, which is celebrating 74 years of operation. The facility will be hosting the event for the fifth time since 1993.
