Road Trippin'
The Buffalo Chip lies a short ride away from Sturgis. So
short, in fact, that it had to go to court to win the right
to call itself a town in its own right. What was once just
another South Dakota campground has grown into the
party hub of the Sturgis rally. Each year the Chip not only
hosts its famous concert series during the rally, it seems
to keep adding more and more for riders to do and en-
joy. Last year daredevil Doug Danger jump Evel Knievel's
XR-750 over a pit of rattlesnakes and the Chip holds all
kinds of racing and custom motorcycle shows there to
boot. It's also home to renowned moto photographer
Michael Lichter's Motorcycles as Art exhibits annually.
Details are still sketchy for some rallies right now but
we have some details on the Chip's concerts for the rally.
