IN THE WIND P44 BOU INJURED AT LE MANS X-TRIAL T rials great Toni Bou suffered a back injury while competing in the X-Trial Series in Le Mans, France, February 17. The series leader lost control of his bike and took a heavy blow on a concrete element and was taken to the hospital. Tests revealed that Bou has suf- fered a fracture of the right apophysis transverse of the lumbar vertebrae L2-L3-L4. The injury is not considered serious and he is expected to be back on the bike in a few weeks. PHOTOGRAPHY COURTESY HONDA RACING H onda saw another one of its top racers rushed to the hospital after a crash over the February 17-18 weekend. Team Honda HRC's Tim Gajser suffered a big get-off during the Internazionali d'Italia final round in Mantova, Italy. The 21-year-old Slovenian arrived at the hospital con- scious and was interacting with the medical staff and showed full body moment. Results from MRI scans to his head and cervical spine were clear. He did undergo surgery to repair two frac- tures to his jaw. CN
