Cycle War
This incredible photograph dubbed
"Cycle War" was taken by German
photographer Tobias Friedrich.
It depicts Norton 16H military
motorcycles frozen in time on the
back of pick-up trucks on the doomed
British World War II SS Thistlegorm,
bombed by the German Luftwaffe
en route to Egypt from Scotland in
1941. The photo earned Friedrich the
prestigious Underwater Photographer
of the Year 2018 award.
