In his heat race, Barcia grabbed the holeshot, and while leading on the first lap he messed up a rhythm section before one of the track's two triple jumps, which caused him to double the triple in front of the entire field. He tried to stay out of the way, but Kawasaki privateer Tyler Bowers had nowhere to go and clipped Barcia's right hand on his way down. That's two weeks in a row that the second-place racer in the points has broken their right hand. Barcia posted on his Insta- gram account Sunday: "Small set back will have surgery tomorrow and be back at it in no time. Luckily it's just my hand and I can still keep my fitness up off the bike! Thanks to all my fans and great sponsors!!!
