was missing before. Now that I have
that, I feel like, why shouldn't I be
there? But I've been fighting myself,
just demanding it from myself, and
I think I'm asking too much. Today
was an eye-opener. I was like, 'I'm
over it.' In practice, I was saying
that. I was like, 'Let's just go have
fun and ride.' Then I got into the top
five. I've been racing for a while, but
I can't lose sight of that. So for me,
I'm pumped that we're six rounds
in and I got a fifth, and I think I'm
inside the top 10 in points now. Ev-
erybody's pretty close, so the goal
from here is just to keep building.
Just get back up front and run with
those guys. I have the stamina to
run with them, so I think I can get
up there and push my speed just
a little bit." After the main event,
Tickle was one of a few racers who
were selected to take a urine test
as part of the drug-testing protocol.
"I had to do it before in Boston and
it took two hours. Tonight, it was
pretty good, because I was hydrat-
ed," Tickle said with a laugh.
POINTING IT OUT
While the points at the top of the
450SX title chase are spacing out a
bit, the battle behind the top-three
is currently locked in a tight battle.
Only four points cover the spread
from fourth to eighth in the champi-
onship, with Ken Roczen in fourth
with 100 points, and Blake Baggett
and Justin Brayton tied for fifth only
one point back (99). Weston Peick
sits seventh only one more point
back at 98, and Musquin is eighth
in the championship at 96.
