174,000 HARLEY-DAVIDSONS RECALLED
T
his is one of the odder recalls we
have seen, but Harley-Davidson is
recalling a staggering 170,000 motor-
cycles because owners may not have
flushed the hydraulic brake fluid at the
right time and mileage.
"Deposits may form on components
within the brake system if the DOT
4 brake fluid is not replaced for a
prolonged period of time beyond the
two-year maintenance schedule speci-
fied in the Owner's Manual," says the
NHSTA statement. The bikes affected
range from the top-line CVO Touring
and VSRC models, to the Road Glide,
Night Rod, Electra Glide, Street Glide and many more.
Harley-Davidson will notify owners and replace the brake fluid free of
charge, with the recall starting on February 12, 2018. CN
MOTONOMAD III IS NEARLY HERE
T
his April, Australian film mak-
er and official KTM test rider
Adam Reimann will release the
latest installment of the Motono-
mad series, where he, former
Australian Enduro Champion
Chris Hollis and Mark Portbury
ride the Andes on specially pre-
pared KTMs.
Cycle News spoke with
Reimann in the past after he
completed Motonomad II—Rid-
ers of the Steppe—a major film
where he, Scott Britnell and
Hein Schwarz rode across Cen-
tral Asia. For Motonomad III the
new trio takes on Chile, Bolivia
and Argentina.
Reimann edits everything
himself while on the road, an
astounding accomplishment
considering the quality of the
films.
