FOURTH KOM TITLE

issing a waypoint last
year cost Cody Webb the
race so when he figured out
he'd missed one this year, you
might've expected him to get
flustered and upset. But the FMF
KTM Factory Off-Road Racing
Team champion managed to
quickly put it behind him and,
in fact, used it as motivation to
push the pace even harder at
the Schampa King of the Motos
(KOM), February 3-4, in Lucerne
Valley, California.
In the end, he was the only
rider to complete the entire 140-
mile afternoon race and thus
earned his record-extending
fourth KOM title, running away
from a talented field that had
no answer for him in one of the
toughest KOMs on record. After
quite a bit of discussion and
math, KOM Race Director Jimmy
