BOU ON
TOP AGAIN
T
he fifth round of the FIM
X-Trial World Championship
ran its course inside the Palau
Sant Jordi Arena in Barcelona,
Spain, February 3-4, and Rep-
sol Honda's Toni Bou captured
the win. The Spaniard dominat-
ed in his home country for his
fifth consecutive victory.
In the final, Bou finished six
points clear of his nearest rival,
TRS Factory Team's Adam
Raga. Gas Gas rider, Jeroni
Fajardo was third, followed by
Scorpa's Benoit Bincaz and Gas
Gas' Jaime Busto.
Bou enjoys a commanding
lead in the champions, 100-69,
over Raga. Bincaz is third with
43.
"I'm super happy with this
result," Bou said. "The event
in Barcelona is always a very
special date; a very nervy one
whether the championship is
going well or not. I want to con-
gratulate Adam [Raga], because
he rode a very complete trial,
where he was very competitive
on the final laps. We battled it
out right until the end, where I
had to make sure of victory, in
spite of the difficulty of doing so
with the new regulations. I am
very happy with this start of the
championship with a full set of
victories and a win at home. You
can't ask for more than that." CN
Toni Bou continued
on with his winning
ways in the FIM X-Trial
World Championship in
Barcelona.
