li Tomac and Joey Savatgy might've both
failed to reach their own expectations in
the first couple rounds of the 2018 Mon-
ster Energy AMA Supercross Series, but they're
both moving in the right direction now. Monster
Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Savatgy was
definitely a favorite to win the 250SX Western
Regional Supercross Championship, just as
Monster Energy Kawasaki's Tomac was a favor-
ite to win the 450SX title. But Tomac was injured
at round one, and Savatgy looked less-than-stel-
lar on his way to fourth place at the opener, and
second place at round two (after leading most of
the race).
At Anaheim II, both Savatgy and Tomac broke
through to score their first wins of 2018, and Sa-
