IN THE WIND P38 HONDA RACING TV E very now and then Honda Pro Rac- ing releases a very nicely edited YouTube show detailing their racing exploits, and this particular episode focuses on the Dakar Rally with Joan Barreda, America's Ricky Braebec and the rest of the factory HRC crew as they try to wrestle to the title away from KTM. There's also a look back at HRC's third place in the Bol d'Or 24 Hour and an entertaining chat with Honda's new roads duo, Ian Hutchin- son and Lee Johnston. CN MALCOLM STEWART TO JGR SUZUKI T he Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team brought 2016 AMA 250 Eastern Regional Supercross Champi- on, Malcolm Stewart, on board to fill in for injured Justin Bogle on a race-by-race basis, beginning with round two of the AMA Supercross Series in Houston. The 25-year-old Haines City, Florida native has enjoyed a successful su- percross career, with three wins, 13 podiums and 24 top-five finishes, culminat- ing with the 2016 AMA 250 East Supercross title. "The opportunity came about on Sunday when J-Bone [Jeremy Albrecht] called and asked if I wanted to ride their factory Suzuki RM-Z450," Stewart said. "To be given this chance on a factory team is a blessing. Now I've been on both sides of the fence, from being a privateer to racing for a factory team. It has truly been a humbling experi- ence, and I'm ready to give the team my full effort." Team manager Jeremy Albrecht is looking forward to working with Stewart. "The fans love him, and he has a really good personality," Albrecht said. "I feel that Mal- colm has great speed, and I'm happy that he wanted to take advantage of this opportunity. In Malcolm's first outing with the team in Houston, he ended the night 11th after a very consistent ride in the main event. CN Malcolm Smith will be filling in for the injured Justin Bogle aboard a JGR Suzuki RM- Z450 in the AMA Supercross Championship.
