IN THE WIND P68 ENERGICA TO SUPPLY MOTOGP-E WORLD CUP BIKES I talian electric motorcycle company Energica has been announced as the official bike for the FIM Moto-e World Cup, scheduled to start in 2019 along- side select rounds of MotoGP. The MotoGP-e Championship will be the first foray into electric motorcycle competition for Mo- toGP rights holder Dorna, with the Energica Ego forming the basis of the (for now) one-make series. "The FIM Moto-e World Cup is a new and exciting project for Dorna, and it makes us very proud to announce Energica will be the supplier in this new venture," said Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports. "We believe in excellence, quality and performance and we cannot think of a better collaborator with whom to launch the FIM Moto- e World Cup. Energica are an industry-leading and innovative company and we look forward to the incredible spectacle of elec- tric-powered racing together." Energica, based in the mo- torsport renowned region of Modena in Italy, is credited with creating the first electric racing motorcycle, with company CEO Livia Cevolini saying, "Our history comes from racing, our passion for this sector has never faded. Moto-e is an excellent project. After all, it is what we hoped since our racing years, now it can be managed professionally thanks to Dorna and its unique and long-lasting experience." CN SUZUKI'S CELEBRATES THE 2017 GSX-R1000'S RACING SUCCESS S uzuki has released two videos dedicated to the racing success of the 2017 GSX-R1000. The first all- new GSX-R1000 in eight years, this year saw the bike wrap up wins in the Isle of Man TT, Australian Superbike Championship and of course, Toni Elias in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship.
