A broken arm has put a temporary halt to Colt
Nichols' 2018 supercross training program.
SEEWER TO YAMAHA
S
wiss motocrosser Jeremy Seewer, who gave Su-
zuki multiple wins in MX2 in the 2017 MXGP World
Championship, has found a new home following Suzuki's
announcement in October that it would not be fielding
a factory team in the 2018 MXGP World Championship.
Seewer will join Arnaud Tonus and Shaun Simpson on the
Wilvo Yamaha Team for MXGP.
"I am happy that Yamaha had interest
in me immediately because I feel like
I have a bit of a connection with them
through my support network and iXS,
my gear brand," Seewer said. "This
made the decision to sign with Yamaha
really easy. I have been to the Wilvo
Yamaha team's headquarters in The
Netherlands and it looked really good
to me. It seems they have big plans for
the future. It's not like they only want to
be involved for a few years; they've re-
ally invested and have a strong plan to
be successful. They are so passionate
about motocross and very professional
and that's why it made an easy decision
to choose this team." CN
NICHOLS
BROKEN
C
olt Nichols, of the Yamalube/
Star Racing Yamaha SX/MX
Team, revealed in an Instagram post
last Friday, December 14, that he
suffered a broken arm while pre-
paring for the upcoming Monster
Energy AMA Supercross Series.
Nichols, however, is expected to be
healed up and ready to go for the
first round of the 250SX East Cham-
pionship, which gets underway in
Texas in February.
His post read: A little over a
week ago I had a mishap and suf-
fered a broken arm. Already got it
all fixed up and been on the recov-
ery train. So blessed to have the
group of people around me that I
do. I've came back from a hell of
a lot worse, head is held high and
I'm embracing the challenge. Dal-
las here we come. CN
