But not this year.
Mees showed up in 2017 and
raised the bar. He stepped into a
new era of the sport—new rules,
new tracks, and new, or shall
we say, returning player with
Indian Motorcycle—and made his
mark. He clinched the title two
rounds early at his home race in
Williams Grove, Pennsylvania,
and added a host of records to
his name and Indian's as well. It
was a standout year for Mees,
during a standout season for the
sport itself. And it landed him
another accolade in 2017—Cycle
News Rider of the Year. Since
