I was able to keep from get- ting stuck and it allowed me to move all the way into third," said McCoy. Higgins was fourth with Suzuki- mounted Ryan O'Neil in fifth. In the overall results, Ashburn swept the field ahead of Fahring- er's consistent 2-2-2. Despite still getting used to a new bike "I went to the left and I was trying to cut back to the right to take a cleaner line and I spun and got hung up and it kind of gassed me trying to get going again. Nick was able to really close the gap," said Ashburn. "When he got to the hill he more or less cleaned it and he was right on my tail for a while again. But I was able to get up that sec- tion clean on the second lap and I was able to extend the gap over Nick and get to the finish first." Third in the night race was local racer Tanner McCoy on a KTM. Ryan O'Neil was consistent all day and ended up rounding out the top five overall.
