"It is a good time to be a motorcyclist!"
Archives: Carl Cranke
When I had my little Penton-
KTM shop in San Leandro,
California, I got to know Carl
Cranke and all the folks, includ-
ing Fred [Moxley] at High Point
in Sacramento. Like Carl says
it was the very best time of all.
We all had a lot of fun, we all
knew each other, and we knew
if Carl showed up he would
win—count on it. He was the
best of the best!

I thought he [Jorge Lorenzo]
should have let Dovi go ahead
with around 10 laps to go. But
the truth is, after reviewing
the race, Dovi barely showed
Jorge a front wheel. And, Jorge
really pushed and did close on
Dani. Dovi never did stay with
Jorge when he closed the gap
with Dani. And, Dovi crashed
immediately after he tried to up
the pace.
I think the Ducatis were at
the limit and the three ahead
had a little more pace they
were saving for the last laps. I
don't think Jorge's actions af-
fected the race outcome.
Hats off to Dovi for his out-
standing run at the Champi-
onship. I'm eager to see the
Ducatis next year.

They are going to sell a bunch
of these and force competitors
to up their game. It is a good
time to be a motorcyclist!

It just needs two front disc
brakes to be ready for Highway
1 on Sunday morning!
