nce again, hundreds of racers and
their families spent the Thanks-
giving Holiday at the Thor Winter
Olympics, presented by Pro Circuit, for
the 46th running of the event. The race,
still often referred to as the "Mini O's."
capped off the 2017 major amateur MX/
SX season at the ever-improving Gator-
back Cycle Park in Alachua, Florida.
Starting the week off right was Carter
Halpain (Yamaha), of Lubbock, Texas,
who took first overall in the 250 A super-
cross class, with Lance Kobusch (Kawa-
saki) taking second and Mitchell Faulk
(KTM) third. Both Kobush and Faulk kept
it close for much of the final race, but at
the finish, Kobusch had opened up his
lead to a fairly comfortable five seconds
