nduroCross is known for
unpredictability but there
were few who doubted Cody
Webb's ability to dominate the
2017 AMA EnduroCross Series,
especially after defending cham-
pion Colton Haaker withdrew from
the series due to injury. The FMF
KTM Factory Racing rider finished
second to Haaker at the opening
round in Las Vegas back in August
but then went on a tear to win
six races in a row, including the
final race in Ontario, California, to
secure his third championship in
four years.
Despite the championship be-
ing all but locked up, Webb came
to Ontario with every intention of
taking another win. Webb started
the day with the fastest hot lap
during the afternoon and then also
